Is it an emergency?
If anyone is in danger, call 911 first. For everything else, these are the calls we treat as emergencies:
- A child, pet or vulnerable adult is locked in a car or a house. Call 911 first, then us.
- You're locked out of your car, especially with the engine running or somewhere unsafe. See car lockout.
- You're locked out of your home. See house lockout.
- You're locked out of your business with staff or customers waiting. See business lockout.
- A key broke off in a door or padlock. See broken key extraction.
- A door won't lock after a break-in, or a business door won't lock at closing time.
How we prioritize your call
Not every lockout is the same, so we don't treat them the same. Every call is sorted by how urgent it is.
Priority 1: someone inside who can't get out
A child, a pet or an older relative locked in a car or a house. Call 911 first. Then call us, and we treat it as the first call of the day. When a child or pet is locked in a car, we often open it free of charge.
Priority 2: you can't secure the property
A car idling with the keys inside, a car stuck somewhere unsafe, a front door that won't lock after a break-in, or a business that can't close. These go ahead of routine work.
Priority 3: standard lockouts and broken keys
Keys locked in the car or the house, a lost key, or a key snapped in a lock. We give you an honest arrival window and send the next open slot.
A child or pet locked in a car: call 911 first
Jacksonville summers regularly reach the 90s, and the inside of a closed car heats up much faster than the air outside. NHTSA says a car's interior can get almost 20°F hotter in the first 10 minutes. Children and pets overheat much faster than adults.
- Call 911 right away. Police and fire crews are often closer than anyone else and can open the car.
- Stay with the car and keep the child or pet in sight.
- Follow the dispatcher's instructions. Florida law protects people who break into a car to rescue a child or pet in immediate danger, as long as they call 911 first or right after and follow the law's other steps.
Once 911 is on the way, call us too. When we arrive, we open the car with Lishi picks, which work the lock like a key, instead of wedges that damage the door.
Honest arrival times in a big city
Jacksonville is the largest city by land area in the lower 48 states, so where you are matters. We're based near Bartram Park, and I-295 and JTB are our usual routes. When you call, we look at where you are and what traffic is doing, and we give you a real arrival window. Typical arrival: Most of Jacksonville in 20–45 minutes. Near our 32258 base, we aim to be with you within 30 minutes of your call.
When we're available
Our working hours are Mon & Fri 7 AM–2 PM · Tue & Thu 7 AM–6 PM · Wed, Sat & Sun closed. We're a same-day emergency locksmith during those hours, and we don't take emergency jobs at night. We answer calls and quote requests Mon–Fri 7 AM–9 PM, and a job that isn't urgent can be scheduled outside our working hours. Outside call hours, text us and we'll reply when calls open again. If anyone is in danger, call 911.
After a break-in
First, get somewhere safe and call 911 or the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Leave the damaged door alone until police have finished. Then call us. We can:
- repair or replace the damaged lock, deadbolt and strike plate so the door locks again. See lock change and replacement,
- reinforce a frame that was kicked, where the damage allows, and
- rekey your locks if keys were stolen, so they no longer work.
If the frame or door itself is split, you may also need a carpenter. We'll secure what we can that day and tell you honestly what else is needed.
While you wait
- Stay somewhere safe and lit. A store entrance, a neighbor's porch or your locked car if the keys are only lost.
- Keep your phone charged. We'll text or call when we're on the way.
- Don't let a stranger pry the door. It usually causes more damage than the lockout.
- Confirm the price and the company name before work starts. Our guide on how to choose a locksmith in Jacksonville covers the warning signs of locksmith scams.
What emergency service costs
We give you the full price on the phone before we drive out. What changes it: the type of job, the lock or vehicle, and how far we travel. See our pricing guide. You get the full price on the phone before we drive out, and we confirm it before any work starts.
Where we work
We handle emergency calls across Jacksonville and nearby, including Mandarin, Southside, San Marco, Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra Beach.

How we work
No surprises. No scare tactics.
Locksmith scams follow a pattern. Here is how we do the opposite, on every job.
-
Upfront price on the phone
Tell us what's going on and we quote the total before we drive out. If something on site changes the job, we explain why and you approve the new price before we start.
-
ID check before we open
Before we open a door, we check your ID and something that ties you to the address or vehicle, like a lease, bill or registration. It protects you as much as it protects us.
-
Courtesy call and marked arrival
We call when we're on the way and arrive in a vehicle marked with our name. The person you talked to on the phone is the business that shows up, not a subcontractor.
-
Non-destructive entry first
Most lockouts open by picking or bypass tools, with no damage. We only drill as a last resort, and only after you agree to it and the cost.
-
Itemized invoice
When the work is done you get an itemized invoice with our business name on it. It matches the price you agreed to, with no surprise fees added at the door.
-
Local and owner-operated
When you call, you reach a local business based in the 32258 area, not a national call center that sells your job to whoever is closest.

Frequently asked questions
When can I reach you for a locksmith emergency?
We answer calls Mon–Fri 7 AM–9 PM. We're a same-day emergency locksmith during our working hours, and we don't take emergency jobs at night. Outside call hours, text us and we'll reply when calls open again. If anyone is in danger, call 911. Working hours: Mon & Fri 7 AM–2 PM · Tue & Thu 7 AM–6 PM · Wed, Sat & Sun closed.
What should I do if a child or pet is locked in a car?
Call 911 first. Police and fire crews can reach you and open the car faster than any locksmith, and a closed car can get almost 20°F hotter in the first 10 minutes. Stay by the car, keep the child or pet in sight, and follow the dispatcher's instructions. Then call us, and we treat it as our first call.
How fast can an emergency locksmith get to me?
We give you an honest arrival window when you call, based on where you are and current traffic. Typical arrival: Most of Jacksonville in 20–45 minutes. Near our 32258 base, we aim to be with you within 30 minutes of your call. We're based near Bartram Park, so Mandarin, Southside and St. Johns County are usually quickest to reach.
Does an emergency locksmith cost more?
We tell you the full price on the phone before we drive out, so there are no surprises. A standard lockout usually costs less than people expect. Watch out for anyone who quotes a very low price and then adds charges at the door.
What should I do first after a break-in?
Get somewhere safe and call 911 or the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Don't touch the damaged door until police are done. Then call us. We repair or replace the damaged lock and strike plate so the door locks again, and rekey the other locks if any keys were taken.
How can I avoid a locksmith scam in an emergency?
Get the total price on the phone, ask for the company's real name, and check that the person who arrives matches it. Be wary of very low phone quotes, unmarked cars and anyone who wants to drill a lock right away. Most lockouts are opened by picking, not drilling. Ask for an itemized receipt.
Locked out or need a lock fixed?
Call or text now. A local locksmith answers, asks a few quick questions and gives you a price and an arrival time.
