More than lockouts
When you think of a locksmith, you probably picture someone getting you back inside after the door shuts behind you. That's part of the job. But our work covers every lock and key in your home, from the front deadbolt to the side gate. We help you choose the right hardware, install it properly and keep it working in Florida's humidity, for single-family homes, townhomes, condos and apartments alike.
Home locksmith services
- House lockouts. We get you back in without damage, usually by picking the lock.
- Lock rekeying. New keys for your existing locks, so old keys stop working. It's the first thing we recommend after you move in.
- Lock change and replacement. New locks when the old ones are worn, damaged or low-grade.
- Lock and deadbolt installation. New deadbolts, knobs, levers, handle sets, patio door locks and window locks.
- Door lock repair. Sticking, stiff or misaligned locks, often caused by humidity.
- Smart lock installation. Keypad and app-controlled locks set up and tested.
- Broken key extraction. A snapped key removed and a new one cut on the spot.
We also handle high-security and bump-resistant locks, spare keys, mailbox locks, cabinet locks, lock boxes, padlocks, garage entry doors and gate locks, plus decorative hardware when you want new locks to match your home.
Home lockouts are urgent
A house lockout is almost always time-sensitive. A small child or an older relative might be inside. The stove might be on. It might be pouring rain, or 95 degrees on the front steps. We treat home lockouts as emergencies and get to you as quickly as we can. If anyone inside is in danger, call 911 first, then call us.
Our blog has a step-by-step guide on what to do when you're locked out of your house.
Rekey, change or upgrade?
We'll tell you honestly which one you need. It's usually one of these:
- Keep your locks, change the key. If you like your locks, we rekey them. We change the pins inside so the old key no longer works, then give you new keys. You can throw the old ones away.
- Lost keys. If keys are lost and your locks are old or worn, we can replace them. You choose the security grade and the finish, such as bronze, brass or satin nickel, and we install them. Already bought your own locks? We'll install those instead.
- Add a lock. Want a deadbolt where there isn't one, or a keypad on the garage entry door? We handle fresh installations too.
Jacksonville homes, Jacksonville lock problems
Florida's climate is hard on locks. Here's what we see most around town:
- Doors that stick in summer. Humidity swells wood doors and frames so the deadbolt drags. Often the fix is aligning the strike plate, not buying new hardware. See door lock repair.
- Salt air near the ocean. East of the Intracoastal, basic zinc-based hardware corrodes quickly. For homes at Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra Beach, we recommend solid brass or stainless steel hardware with a high security grade.
- Concrete block walls. Many Florida homes are built with concrete block, which can block the Wi-Fi signal a smart lock depends on. We plan hub and repeater placement when we install.
- Older homes. Historic homes in Riverside, Avondale, Springfield and San Marco often have original mortise locks. Many can be restored instead of replaced.
How we work
We keep it simple and honest. You get the price before we drive out, and we explain your options before any work starts. You get the full price on the phone before we drive out, and we confirm it before any work starts. We use non-destructive entry first and only drill a lock as a last resort, with your OK. You get an itemized invoice that matches your quote, with no surprise fees.
Where we work
We serve homeowners and renters across Jacksonville and nearby, including Mandarin, Bartram Park and Julington Creek, San Marco, Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra Beach. See all the areas we serve.
Need a locksmith at home? Call (904) 509-0907 or text us a photo of your lock. We're available Mon & Fri 7 AM–2 PM and Tue & Thu 7 AM–6 PM.
How we work
No surprises. No scare tactics.
Locksmith scams follow a pattern. Here is how we do the opposite, on every job.
-
Upfront price on the phone
Tell us what's going on and we quote the total before we drive out. If something on site changes the job, we explain why and you approve the new price before we start.
-
ID check before we open
Before we open a door, we check your ID and something that ties you to the address or vehicle, like a lease, bill or registration. It protects you as much as it protects us.
-
Courtesy call and marked arrival
We call when we're on the way and arrive in a vehicle marked with our name. The person you talked to on the phone is the business that shows up, not a subcontractor.
-
Non-destructive entry first
Most lockouts open by picking or bypass tools, with no damage. We only drill as a last resort, and only after you agree to it and the cost.
-
Itemized invoice
When the work is done you get an itemized invoice with our business name on it. It matches the price you agreed to, with no surprise fees added at the door.
-
Local and owner-operated
When you call, you reach a local business based in the 32258 area, not a national call center that sells your job to whoever is closest.

Frequently asked questions
How fast can you get to my home if I'm locked out?
We give you a real arrival window when you call, based on your address and current traffic. Typical arrival: Most of Jacksonville in 20–45 minutes. Near our 32258 base, we aim to be with you within 30 minutes of your call. We're based near Bartram Park, so Mandarin, Southside and St. Johns County neighborhoods are usually the quickest for us to reach.
How much does a residential locksmith cost in Jacksonville?
It depends on the job and the lock, and we tell you the price on the phone before we come out. Rekeying usually costs less than new locks, and several locks done in one visit cost less per lock. Our pricing page explains what affects the total.
When can I get emergency home locksmith service?
Same day, during our working hours. We don't take lockout jobs at night. We answer calls and quote requests Mon–Fri 7 AM–9 PM, and we can schedule a job outside our working hours. Outside call hours, text us and we'll reply when calls open again. Working hours: Mon & Fri 7 AM–2 PM · Tue & Thu 7 AM–6 PM · Wed, Sat & Sun closed. If someone inside is in danger, call 911 first.
Should I rekey or replace my home locks?
Rekey when your locks work well and you just need old keys to stop working, such as after moving in or losing a key. It's the lower-cost choice. Replace them when locks are damaged, worn, rusted or low-grade, or when you want a stronger deadbolt or a smart lock. See rekeying for details.
Do you install smart locks in Jacksonville homes?
Yes. We install and set up keypad and smart locks from brands like Schlage, Yale, Kwikset and August, and check that they fit your door and connect reliably. Concrete block walls in many Florida homes can weaken Wi-Fi signals, so we help place the hub or repeater where the lock can reach it.
Can you help if I rent my home or apartment?
Yes. For a lockout, we check a photo ID with your address, or your lease and ID. For rekeying or changing locks, check your lease first, because many leases require the landlord's approval and a key for them. We can key your new locks so both you and your landlord have working keys. Landlords can see our page for property managers.
Locked out or need a lock fixed?
